Ceramic Design is a range of curtain pole finials designed and produced in house at our very own studio. The finials are all handmade. The clay slip is poured into moulds, removed then cleaned up and allowed to dry. Some finials have slip decoration applied at this stage. The finials are bisque fired for 10 hours at 1080 degrees and allowed to cool. Underglazes and/or glazes are applied by hand and a second 10 hour firing at 1080 degrees is required. The finials are allowed to cool and the metal collar is attached ready to attach to your curtain pole.
